“The New” at 455 Melbourne Road, Newport – Case Study

Cassaform were engaged to design, supply and certify the use of a light-weight modular formwork system capable of forming the suspended levels at “The New” at 455 Melbourne Road, Newport.

Overview of Job: “The New” is a 5 storey, 34 unit apartment project located within Melbourne’s inner West. It is currently under construction and anticipate reaching practical completion later this year.

Key Features: The super structure was designed using predominantly flat plate post tensioned concrete slabs above a ground level transfer structure. A mix of insitu and precast concrete was utilized for the vertical elements.
