Delta Shadow Play – Case Study

Cassaform were engaged to design and supply a one-sided formwork system to for the internal faces of the 2100mm deep lift overrun pit. The pit would allow the elevator to reach ground level and transport patrons to the above tower levels.





Overview of Job: Shadow play is a multi-storey high structure that required significant foundation works prior to building the superstructure. Cassaform assisted the earthworks contractor in forming the single sided RC foundations as required. This was completed towards the end of 2016. The structure reached practical completion early 2018.
Key Features: Shadow play is a short stay accommodation high rise structure, it is supported off a ground level raft, reinforced with deep RC piles and has no basement levels (Click here to read more about Shadow Play by Peppers).
Product used: Cassaform’s P300 system, One sided formwork Bracing, Engineering design and Certification services.
Feedback from job or results following completion: The formwork was installed within two days and removed within a week of first arriving to site. This exceeded the clients expectations and came in significantly under budget for the considered works.
