Overview of Job: This project involved the substantial alteration of the existing Camberwell Central Retail Precinct.
Key Features: The construction involved firstly underpinning the existing structures footings and increasing their capacity with consideration of the proposed works and future use of the structure. Once this was complete the construction of multiple levels above the existing carpark structure began along with the installation of a precast stair core and later a travelator system.
Product used: Cassaform’s HD Propping equipment, P300 formwork System, and Engineering design and Inspection services.
Cassaform’s involvement: Cassaform were initially engaged to provide engineering design and support to facilitate the underpinning works. This further lead to the supply of a cost effective propping system and various temporary works engineering advice associated with further demolition works as the project developed. Cassaform also supplied their P300 system to help form and extend existing columns to new footings where the preposed basement RL was to be significantly lower than the existing.
Feedback from job or results following completion: The project was completed in late 2016 without incident and to the clients satisfaction.
