Keeping your Business Covid-19 Safe

Written by Cassaform Managing Director, Joe Caprara.
As you can appreciate COVID, and more in particular the Omicron strain is upon us and is taking us all by storm. 2021 is finally over but unfortunately 2022 does NOT appear to be off to a much better start. Although one report I recently read said that Omicron is seen by many as the beginning of the end to this pandemic saga. Let’s hope this to be true because it’s fair to say that we are all well and truly over this.
More importantly than ever it is critical that as business owners, we take every step possible to protect our businesses. With that in mind I wish to take this opportunity to share with you the procedures that Cassaform have implemented to protect our business continuity.
In addition to instructing employees to continue working from home as much as is practical, we have also decided to split the staff into two completely separated teams, Team A & Team B. Team A is permitted to attend the office Weeks 1, 3, 5 etc. as and when required whereas Team B is only permitted to attend the office and warehouse on the alternate Weeks 2, 4, 6 etc. Whilst this is relatively easy to achieve with the Engineering, Sales and Administration Team, this is a little more difficult to achieve with the Warehouse Operations team. With these guys we have again split them into teams that are not permitted to mix. They are required to work in completely different sections of the warehouse and even taking their breaks in different locations and at different times. We have also placed a bulk order of Rapid Antigen Tests from the suppliers and will be conducting RAT tests every two days to protect the team and the public as much as is practical.
In the event that Team A were ever exposed and are required to self-isolate, Team B can continue working, servicing clients and servicing the industry with little to no disruption.
If you have any other ideas, we welcome your input and comments. Please feel free to share this article with your wider audience as the more we share, the safe we may all be.
