An article written by Managing Director, Joe Caprara.

Fourteen columns boxes formed, reinforced and poured in one day by 2 men.

Our client initially used a lighter weight competitors walling and column system which consisted of heaps of snap ties (even through a 700mm wide column) and required literarily hundreds and hundreds of tiny wedge ties to lock up the columns.  It took 2 men just over 2 hours to set up each column box.  And in the end they still needed to restrict the pour rate of each columns to one (1m) vertical metre per hour significantly delaying the project. Stripping of each column took just as long.

Apart from frustrating the site team, with the slow pour rate they ended up with terrible cold joints on every column and wall cast on the project.  (Insert Image 5700 here)

Cassaform were called in to rescue and supplied 13 column boxes of various designs.  All 13 Columns were assembled, installed, reinforced and poured by 2 men in one day.  This turned the project program around in matter of days, saving the client value time from their construction cycle and kept the slab team more productive.

Moral of the story: “Innovative, Fast, Flexible Formwork solutions is exactly what Cassaform stands for in the construction industry so come to Cassaform for the right advice…..Yes even if it involves using a competitors product”
